okay so i got your attention. sorry...just wondering if anybody knows: is the Pioneer lock the same as the Escalator and Pocket Hobbit. i.e., will it hold up to the same tests? thanks.
BTW, my apologies to the female members of the forum....what the heck, and to the male members for the joke.

I almost made a wisecrack about the phrase "male member", but held off just in time.

Talk about topic drift.....

Anyway, my guess would be that all the locks are just as strong.

The locks are the same, just scaled down a bit to comform to the size of the knife. I don't know if the pioneer will hold as much as the PH or Escalator but its enough that one would have to go to extraordinary lengths to break one.

BTW, in case it isn't too well known, the Pioneer swept point has virtually the same length cutting edge as the Pocker Hobbit.
