Kabar 1117!!


its a bit longer than the bk14 and appears too be as thick along the spine of course it tapers down too the tip like the kabar usmc, now i need grips lol!!!!!! big thanks too kabar you guys rule!!

This was the comparison I was really wanting to see! If it was as thick and as long if not longer than the 14. I am totally jealous lol! Well... I know what I will be getting as soon as KA-BAR gets em out! It would be incredibly awesome of them if they would make some zytel scales for that sucker too...

it has a 4 inch blade so about 3/4 inch longer handle length is the same. i will take a pic of it next too the mk1 later as well.
 
Very interesting. I think the leaner width of the blade would make it a very sturdy and good EDC companion fixed blade. I go through phases were I like leaner blades, and then I like the wider blades... and clip points make a very good carry blade. Kinda wishing I had me a 17, but... this little sucker is going to be sweet. I EDC'd a full size KA-BAR after I got one and loved it, but its a little bit to much blade for everyday nonsense, but I learned a lot about the 1211. Now I carry me a 15 and dont know if it could be beat, but this guy with the right scales.... well... lol
 
That's a good candidate for a 550 cord wrap. I like it, it appears to be a minimalised 1217, bare bones for sure.
