Paul sent me a message asking for my addy the other day.šŸ¤”

We’ve met at the UK Sharp show and talked on the phone a few times,so I figured he wasn’t coming round to sort me out. 😁

At one o’clock on the dot today the postman rang (well actually he knocked twice,it could be a film with Jack Nicholson šŸ˜†).

I opened the parcel he had sent and was shocked to see a Bison Belly,it’s fair to say I was blown away I would never have guessed. ā¤ļø

Best Christmas present ever,he had given careful consideration to my needs (weak hands etc.).

As for the knife how do Charlie/Howard do it?

It’s light but has the perfect presence and strength,a proper ā€œpocket knifeā€.

The blade pinches open with ease, yet is nice and firm when open.

The handle is unbelievable smooth with perfect covers and rivets.

But it’s the ergonomic grip that’s the thing, it works like no other knife I have handled and looks stunning.

This knife needs to be seen and handled to appreciate it fully, like a lot of Charlie’s knives perfection and not flashy. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Oh and the top half of the etch reminds me of Sardinias outline as on my Sardo knife.

A bit of a funny aside, the first parcel I got today was a small anvil,I thought oh that’s nice Paul’s sent me an anvil.

Then I remembered I had bought it myself,a lady selling on FB used one in her adds to display the knives so I ordered one myself.🤭

I am officially a forgetful old git. 🤣🤣🤣

In other news I haven’t skinned a Bison yet nor peeled an apple as there’s non in my house, so I may just cut up my banana later instead.

Anyway Paul thank you so much and a Happy Christmas to you and all the other good folk on the porch.

.A magnificent gift. Good on you blokes. I drooled over The Bison when it was announced . Charlie has certainly thundered across the prairie of great pocketknives with this one.
Sadly had to forgo trying to get one.. but been squirreling my pennies away for my trip to NZ to see my Grandkids at the end of Jan....
Be Safe Be Merry 😁

And a way of topic reply from me.šŸ˜‚

You better start learning to pronounce your Eeeeeees bud, some places I went in NZ I couldn’t understand a wordā€¦šŸ˜†

I loved the dress code, for once I felt well dressed.

But seriously I loved the place,in South Island when I asked for a key for my digs.

My landlady said what for? We never lock the doors (I hope she never visits London 🤣)

The biggest shock though was Kiwi fruit from Italy, what the hells that about? šŸ˜‚

Johnnythefox Johnnythefox and Chui Chui Congratulations on the Birth of the Cool :)

John, you may not have to travel to the USA for a Bison viewing, your new motorbike could take a trip to Poland where there are around 2500 wild European Bison or even to Kent in Great Britain where there are about 10 individuals in a park (see Wiki link)

Like its American counterpart, the European Bison was near hunted to extinction by ignorance and savagery in the early c20th, fortunately determined conservationists in certain countries kept some survivors in parks and later this expanded into the current breeding programme and re-wilding. The European Bison, like the Elk (Moose) and Beaver is slightly different genetically from the N.American counterpart, see the Latin names of the animals for clarity (thanks to my hero the great Swedish scientist Linnaeus) Good luck, but don't show them the knife or they might show you their horns :D I have a wallet and a knife slip made from Bison hide, beautiful stuff.

Thanks, Will
