My local shop had 2 Hinderer XM-18 flippers that they just got in. I was fortunate enough to get the Digi-camo G-10 version. Shown here with my Strider SNG edc for comparison.

Man this thing is beefy! Beatifully designed. Im sure its tougher than the SNG but to be fair the SNG is lighter and still feels great in the hand.

I tried to give up lusting after knives for lent. You are an evil man.

It's your own fault. Coming here when trying to avoid lusting for knives is like going to the beach when you're trying not to lust for the oposite sex...

Ok, I'm a little bit jealous... ok... a lot.:grumpy::D:thumbup:

The shop is called Northern Knives. Great guys and a huge selection. Fair prices too. The other XM-18 is green textured G-10 flipper. They have a blue one as well but they sent it back to Rick because the action was a bit stiff. Check their website, Im sure they will ship anywhere.

Northern Knives in Anchorage? I visited that shop when I was up there working last Winter. They have an excellent selection of knives. :thumbup:

Nice XM-18!

It sort of looks like Hinderer took a Strider SnG and added "curves" to it.
The SnG still looks a bit more 'studly', but the XM-18 looks like it would be a bit more friendly feeling in the hand while using.
(Although I have no complaints with the SnG feeling fine in my hands during use.)

Thank you for sharing!

Regards,
Mike

Those knives are, "FILTHY"! :thumbup: At least thats what Grandson would say!

You know, I dont even know what kind of blade steel this is. Is it CPMS30V or the Duratech 20-CV? I know it came hair popping sharp.

May your beer always be warm and flat from now on. May a 1000 skunks douse you in their scent. may your gutters always be plugged with leaves.

ah seriously though, very nice blades!
