Look what I did to my Becker Crewman!

Thanks Bill, glad you like it. I used female Corby nuts on the one side so the scales are removable and they index into the tang holes that were already there so I get a solid, no wobble fit every time I take them off and put them back on.

Wow, fantastic work. I love what you did with that Crewman. I think BK&T should follow your lead and offer a more refined version of there bk line. I'd love to do something like that with my Crewman as it is u-g-l-y right now. :D

I hope you don't mind but I took a few of your pics and ran them through Photoshop.

Thanks alot guys. I ran all of my pics through PhotoShop and fixed the contrast so they look a little better now. I'm looking for ward to using this one on my next camping trip. Up next is a new Kydex sheath for it. Just waiting on my eyelet press. I'd really like to see Camillus put out something along these lines, I believe there's a demand for it.

Ancient Chinese secret. No, actually just lots of work. I used sanding drums in my drill press for most of the shaping of the tang and the rest was done with sandpaper wrapped around a wooden dowel. Just basic knifemaking stuff. The hardest part for me is always the grinding and sanding and shaping of the Micarta. Every time I use Micarta I swear I'll never use it again. Stinky, smelly, dirty stuff it is. But it's tough and it looks great.
