how did I do it? I took the tip of my ladybug (I suppose any pointy metal object will do) and scraped away at the black coating. It's actually quite easy to stay in the lines because the tip will "sink" into the border lines if you try go past it. Once all the black coating was removed, I took some fine sandpaper and carefully polished the spyder emblem. I think I started at 600 grit, to about 6000 grit, then I used a fine micro-abrasive liquid (like the kind used for polishing plastic model car finishes), or you could just get a MicroMesh polishing kit...
 
actually, I did that to my Cricket and Delica about 6-8 weeks ago.

Just use your dremel, and go slowly(and carefully) with a small tip. it's better to tap the bit rather than drag it. You get better spot control that way.

The clips of my hard-use folders all get too scratched for me to do that. But I like it.
