Just a salamander. But it's only the third one I've ever seen. I always enjoy it when some unexpected wildlife wanders by. If you have any cool pics of wildlife that you've taken, please feel free to post them here.

in the spring you can get waterdogs and use them for bass bait. find a big bass that wont take anything you throw at him and he'll take one of these. thats a neat find too phillip. i used to get them out of a friends well pit during the summer so they wouldnt die from being trapped.
 
COOOOL!!! The skin would make a good insert on a sheath.:thumbup::thumbup: Does salamander taste like chicken??????:confused::D
 
I found this guy while mowing the lawn a while back must have been his lucky day.Later that week he made it into my shop and was hanging out on my extension cord and anvil.My favorite bug!!

Not exactly. We sometimes raise broilers (chickens) to eat and sell to friends. We did 48 this year, and this is part of what's left over....
 
Here is a rare sight for Walla Walla. He was just strolling across our back yard. :)
