nice fungus and pretty baby you got there.

I don't know how it is in US but here in Poland in pizzas you have champinions.
The taste of a parasol mushroom is quite different but it's hard for me to describe it. Taste of any mushroom depends on how it's prepared.
Champinions in pizzas are often pre-boiled. Parasol mushroom in my opinion tastes best when you cover it with unboiled (raw) egg, then in dry bread crumbs and then fry it on a frying pan with a bit of butter. Really tasty - and that's what I'll be eating tomorrow morning :D

Sounds delicious. In Texas the average store has "white" mushrooms they really don't give a name for usually, and are an average of 1-2" diam. Portobello and cremini are on the higher end and there are some exotics at some of the higher-end markets but nothing I have ever seen that was that stunning.

Impresssive, that's a big sucker.

Knowing something about wild mushrooms is a useful skill.

I love the kind of threads. Looks like you both had a rewarding time. Nice Boss Jack also.

That's how we prepare our morels here in Missouri. If that tastes anything like a morel, I'm very jealous.
