Very nice. Brendan has been talking quite a bit about this recently. Glad to finally get to see it!

Glad you're excited for it, Riley. It was a fun project, I wish I could have gotten that one spot on the sheath a little smoother though. Now to go dig up some pics.

That looks really nice Riley! Brendan did a great job! I used to carry a smaller one in a goatskin pouch sheath I made when, after being inspired by a show called Grizzly Adams, I got all "anti-modern" and wished for earlier times in history, but it didn't look anywhere near that good.

Here are some of my Hudson Bay patterns.

I put that in the pic for size comparison. I thought I lost it the other day and I was going nuts! Very handy little knife.

That looks really great, Riley! Brendan is doing some great work. I really think that Brendan could do well by adding a line-up of re-handled and sheathed Old Hickory blades (like the boning knife and paring knife, the skinner, etc.). Cheap costs, pretty inexpensive overall for the buyer, and really handsome carbon steel.

I'll probably end up doing that, it was pretty fun and the costs are pretty low. Plus, they come out pretty good looking. The only thing I don't really like about the old hickory's is the narrow tang, it makes it difficult to get a really comfortable handle, but not many people have fingers as long as mine, so no biggie.

I think I'm in the same boat as far as finger length, though. So I feel you. Still, they'd be good sellers (I've no doubt of that). Check these out though as a very appropriate alternative, and still not much more expensive...

Gotta love thoses Oldtimers

+1 I love them Old Timers to death, I nearly went Insane when I thought I lost mine, and I nearly tore my house apart looking for It.

It took me a second to realize that was a Old Hickory fixed blade that you made, I have one In my shed (exact same one) that Is sharper than sin that I carry on me when I camp/go out to the woods, that are great to put a edge on and light but you can swing It with some force.

Anybody wanna see a picture of It? :D

Hmm, I just went out and got It, I am kind of dumbfounded now, It Is not a Old Hickory, I think It might be a older model of one.

It has a Bird/ Eagle (looking thing) on the handle.

It also looks like Is says "Regent & Sheffield" I know the second word Is "Sheffield" but I am not 100% on the 1ST.

There Is also a crest between the 2 words that has 2 lions with there front paws on top of the crest, anybody know what this means? (or still want to see the picture?)

I know I can get a Old Hickory knife locally, there are loads of them around here from $3-5 a piece for Cleavers, cabbage knives, ETC.

I coulda sworn that I had one around here somewhere.

There are also 3 holes on the handle, the one In the back Is for a lanyard I presume and the front 2 have brass (think) In them, and the blade only goes about 70% down the handle then stops.
