Hey Indian George, I heard that your Heat Treat Relish actually reaches over 2200 degrees.... you should be able to do some differential heat treating with that stuff...

just spread it in different thicknesses on the blade and let it soak for a few hours, quench in milk of magnesia and wipe clean with toilet paper. you should get a really nice hamon out of it

It is on the way out that it gets to that temp.
