Got home from work yesterday and found this little guy waiting to come inside.

It's one of those knives you see when you're flipping through web pages and go "WHOA!" I knew it needed to come home with me. Not the thickest blade, nor the longest, but it definitely looks sturdy enough. I'm surprised there isn't an ESEE board on TBF. Are there any other RAT-ophiles out there? The next thing I noticed was this:

It appears that my collection is growing a section for drop points, my BK-11 being absent from this pic. I was planning on picking up a BK-16 soon, so even more drop point madness yet to come. I was hoping to build up my collection of Beckers, but the ESEE's may slow that down a bit!

Let me see some pics of your ESEE's, stock and modded!

Think you posted the wrong pics man. Either that or I missed the joke.

Had that copied from a "Paul McCartney & Russell Edgington: separated at birth." thread from last night. I think it's fixed now.

Got to playing around with a Janus that wasn't connected to anything and thought it might make a neat molle back/stuff carrier. What do you think?

PS: Hope it's not Russell Edgington again! :D

I'm reading the first sentence and looking at the picture and keep thinking of a tiny Russel Edgington on your front porch waiting for you to let him in the house, which is hardly something to be excited about. Nice knives, though. Supposedly there was an ESEE board at one time, but I don't know enough about the situation to say why it's gone now.

Congrats on the new knife, you are going to love it! You shouldn't worry about how thin the blade is, it is still a very rugged knife and has an unbeatable warranty to boot so use the heck out of it. I too have a few ESEE knives hanging around. My 6 is my favorite camping knife and I alternate my 3 and Izula 2 as EDC knives with a Tek lock. I can't wait for their first folder.

This is going on my med pack or vest. I like that it has some serrations, but still plenty of plain edge for slicing. She'll make a great camp knife. I'm sure I'll want some more of this brand for EDC and whatnot, but for general purpose/outdoors knives, I like 'em big.

Very nice collection! I am curious to see some folders from this maker as well.

I got an ESEE 6, and the mighty ESEE Junglas. It won't let me upload pics from my phone but everybody knows what a Junglas is. And if you don't know what it is don't look it up because you'll have to spend the $$$ and buy one once you see it. Also have an ESEE 3 on the way. ESEE is a great brand and they make phenomenal blades. I'd trust my life to them any day.

And as for the Janus.. Great piece of kit, I have one coming to put on my Junglas and a maxpedition rat wallet coming to put on my ESEE 6 sheath. The -3 Is going to get some paracord or ranger bands and be my edc

ESEE6 is one of my favorite GP knives for camping/woodsbumming.
the BK16 is another great one in a smaller package.
the Janus pouch should work well as a carry/attach/modular base.
