Look What The USPS Left For Me

Nice!
I was going to get that knife along with many other Spydercos but have recently been somewhat turned off by them due to bad customer service I've got from them

I have that same knife. Mine has been great although I seem to have trouble keeping the blade sharp win my Sharpmaker. Only knit so have issues with.

The Sage is a great knife, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Mine has become my main edc blade while at the office :D

Congrats!
The Sage is a great knife in any of its flavors.

My Squeak - a gift from my mom - arrived today so I got to see it. But still have to wait until Christmas to carry it!!!

When I first started collecting, Spyderco didn't really appeal to me, mostly because of the blade shape and I wasn't really accustomed to it. Now that I know a lot more about knives in general, I understand what certain blade shapes are used for and that Spyderco's blade shapes aren't "abnormal". I'm mainly a Kershaw guy, but the Sage is the one knife that I wouldn't mind cheating on my Kershaw's with.

That was my very first real knife! Awesome awesome little guy! Took that thing everywhere too. Had to get sell it and still regret it. Might get a Sage 2 later on to replace it :D

I have a Sage I also. I was watching jdavis882 vid on YouTube about Sharpmaker tips and he said the blade angle on the Sage was pretty different compared to other Spydercos. He recommended marking the edge with a Sharpie and actually angling the knife towards the opposite stone as you go down. Check it out

Congrats on a great knife. For me, I prefer the Sage 2 but the Sage 1 is a close second.

Enjoy!

I saw this as well. I actually just used the 30 degree and brought the sides down. I then added the 40 degree microbevel and its back to shaving sharp.
