My first Benchmade Auto Presidio 5000. Overall this knife is solid! No joke here! This knife is heavy duty and its meant for rugged use. Happy with my purchase! Thanks to the guys at Blade HQ!
Yep they are great HEAVY duty knives. I've had one for several years. Stays sharp and has a great f/f. I did have the tiniest bit of surface rust after I used it to cut up some steak (cooked) and didn't get to wash it properly for a couple of days. A little flitz and it was all better. Just watch out for your pocket edges as with the stiff clip (good since it is heavy) likes to eat away at them.
Enjoy... you got a great knife!
edited to add- Just noticed that yours is coated. the rust comment probably won't affect you as mine is uncoated.
Great score! That's a really nice tool. I've got the same one, only with a satin blade. Mine came to me second-hand, after seeing plenty of use, and I've put it through the ringer also... It's still holding up just fine, and functions like the day it was made. Definitely my favorite Benchmade, without a doubt.
