same guy in the same place is selling some HI khukris as well. good looking stuff. he had a few rare ones, and still does (wicked nice dui chirra iirc)

i think the other stuff is probably "pretty darn good" all things considered. HI is just better :)

Just tought about to other reasons to wait:

Yangdu's aftersale service looks REALLY good.
HI looks like they help a lot people in Nepal, how about that other company? (I just discovered I still am human :) )

Also, I have a lot of time until next spring. Do you use your khuks a lot during winter? IT ALREADY STARTED SNOWING IN HERE!!!

a well used proven khukri is often worth more to me :) someone could offer 3x as much for my favorite GRS, and they wouldn't go home with it. mine.

winter? trees fall, things need to be trimmed. yes, you need a khukri :) especially if you're snow-shoeing or need to tangle with a wolverine :> *rawr*

for the price 16" CAK $50... i think they are all still worth it :D
i would a few just to beat around with

It's a pretty good product tribute when someone advertises their products - openly - as not as good as yours. :)

I like that kind of honesty.
