Lookin for a deal on Micarta

Anybody know where to get a good deal on Micarta?
Black, 3/8" thick sheets, Linen paper canvas not particular if the price is right...
 
Try contacting plastic suppliers in your area. I have gotten lucky a few times and found rems of micarta in various grades. Once a shop even gave me some natural canvas micarta 2 ftX 1ft x 1/4in just so they wouldn't have to measure it for inventory.Helps if you offer to buy coffe for the guy helping you out as somebody has to go looking for the stuff. Also don't be stuck on the name micarta. Try phenolic :) Micarta is what Westinghouse calls it. Everybody else makes the same stuff under the classification phenolic.

When I lived in So Cal, I used to buy from them all the time. Way better prices than most places.

I will also try some of the local plastic fabricators and see whats up locally.
The place where I am getting the Kydex from may be a source as well.

Right now I am just short on funds so Cheap is good.
