I am currently carrying a Mora clipper. I'm a backpacker and do a lot of Bushcraft type of stuff and like to make things while im camping/backpacking.

Can anyone reccomend something else that can fill the shoes of the Mora clipper on an outing and is under the $50 mark?

I need something neck sized that can be carried that way.

I have a Bk2 for my camp knife that does the heavy work.

ESEE Izula hands down......... Check it out its a Great blade and it will not let you down.... Not too mention a GREAT warranty.....

+1 on the Izula. Do it!

I personally never warmed up to the izula's blade shape. I sold it and kept the BK11.
I prefer the longer blade and shape of the BK11.

OTHO I think the BK14 will be one of the best neck knives to come around in a while. Here's a link to a thread with a few pic's of this awesome knife! :D

I agree the Eskabar is a great knife. I like my Izula a lot. The problem I had with the BK-11 was the bottle opener. I like to hold a small knife with the butt in the heel of my hand, but the bottle opener was a major irritant. I wouldn't mind adding an Eskabar to my it. It has a serious blade.

Agreed, the BK11's handle is not as comfortable as the izula's. It's not bad by any means, it's just not as comfy.

With the BK14 you get the best of both worlds IMHO.

They stay razor sharp forever. When they do get dull a couple of swipes on the edge of a spyderco stone brings them back to shaving sharp. If you loose one oh well. These are standard issue for fishing people and boat guys here in Alaska.

Sorry for the double posting. Stupid iphone!

If I had to start all over looking for a neck knife I'd just buy the Izula, BRKT bravo necker, Swamp Warden and Becker necker. Then keep the one I liked the most. I love the bravo necker, the Swamp Warden IMO is the best knife of all of them. But for a number of reasons, I keep coming back to the Izula for daily neck wear.

It's lighter and shorter than the Swamp Warden. For some it may not be an issue but for me it was just barely noticeable. It's probably the toughest out of the bunch, priced reasonably and just plain works well in my hand.

All 4 are good knives and for under $100 each are worthy neckers.
