I got about 65ish$ to spend on a lockback :D
I'm looking for something with a clip point blade.
A bolster under the blade.
And stag scales.
Any ideas?

I'm thinkin a little smaller than a 112
Also the clip point blade is'nt a must.

Look at the Boker "Cinch" line of knives. I believe there are several models that will fit your specifications.

The lockback I use the most now days is my Case full sized copperlock. It fits my hands well, is stainless, and sharpens easily. It's solid as a brick, slices like nobodies business, and stays sharp for a good while. Plus, it's thin and fits my back pocket without hardly a notice. I use it for most all of my food preparation duties. It will skin a couple of deer before needing a touch up as well. I've got Buck 110's, and they just don't fit my pockets well. I don't carry a sheath very often on my belt. And, when I do, I want it to be a substantial fixed blade. Those duties go to my Fallkniven F1, or my Buck 119.

edit to add: I am not sure if you could find one in stag for 65 dollars. I found my orange bone one on the auction site. I'm sure you could find a stag one there. Might have to fork out a bit more than 65 though.

I have a few hundred Lockbacks mostly USA and some Germany and others.
This one just came in. At just a hair under 3 1/2" it's one of the prettiest, smoothest and sharpest of them all. Totally solid lock up. about $20, but i'd still be happy if it was $75.

Whats the country of origin on that colt?

GEC has some very nice, new bone handled lockbacks (pattern #72) in that price range. I haven't seen many good quality knives with stag in that price range. Sorry.

Böker Germany do a nice lockback at around 4" various scales, maybe stag and all carbon. worth considering.

Is the blade centered?

Yes. as i said, as good as any of my USA or German Lockbacks and better than most of them. Blade spine/spring interface in open position is also right on which so often is not the case. liners/scales/spring all tight along full length, no light can be seen through them.
it's impressive. i have quite a few of these Colt Traditionals and every one is just as good as this lockback, so their quality control is very high.
the 'block' i had to get over is: "for $20 how can it actually be a high quality knife ?" thought going around in my mind. I think most of us believe more money equals better quality, but now i look at the knife and don't judge it's quality by it's price. a lot of my expensive knives are poorly made.

Roland, that is beautiful knife. I got one Colt. F&F is great on that one! Its better than some of my more expensive Case's knife.

I have the Colt 6-bladed stockman in black and it's a very good knife for what I paid. Around $18.00 if memory serves me right. All the blades came very sharp with very good F&F. I bought it just to check them out and was pleasantly surprised.
