Here is the custom replacement sheath Paul made for my 15OT and a matching one for my 165OT. It is not an exact duplicate of the original, but much better constructed in both materials and workmanship.
Vegetable tanned leather (Hermann Oak, IIRC), with kangaroo hide laces, all stitched with no splatter rivets. He also added a third, center strip of leather to protect the laces from the blade.
Here is the original it was styled after, what I call a "Type 1":
The Type 1 is uncommon in mint condition because it was cheaply constructed of reconstituted leather, all die stamped in one operation, not hand tooled, and used leather laces which tended to dry out and break, or get cut by the knife.
Here is the custom he made for me. The inserts are hornback alligator, lining is deerhide. Design is pure P.F.Long, including adding my initials and date to his maker's stamp on the back.
And he made a matching custom for my smaller 152OT Sharpfinger as well.
