It is smart to handle one before buying. Hope that works out. One other option is to buy from an authorized vendor (there is a list somewhere around), so you will have the ability to return it if it is not what you expect. Just clarify that before buying.

I figured it would be a good idea before I started down this road. Love the look not to mention the quality. Did the same thing when I started with CRK.

It's likely that I will be in the Loiusville area in October for Knob Creek. If that's too far into the future I hope another can assist you.

Often when attending a gun or knife show/gathering I bring along a variety of Hinderer XMs. Because once you start talking with an interested party about them the conversation always turns to discussion of the sizes and blade shapes/grinds.

My travel plan is not 100% certain but I am hopeful. I'll shoot you a PM closer to the date once I can confirm my attendance.

Unsure of your current occupation but take a look at the direct ordering sticky. If you qualify shoot Rob O. an e-mail sometime middle of next week and see what options exist.

Whatever happens I hope you do get the 3.5 as its probably the best place to start. Immediately or soon thereafter you will know if preferences lend toward a smaller 3" or larger 24 (4") XM. Or, like most of us, you'll want all 3 sizes.
