Im new to this site so I hope this is the appropriate place for this post. Im lookin for someone who would be able to finish a couple knives for me. They were made by a knife maker, Jim Sasser, who was a good friend of my families who passed away several years ago. Ole Sasser was not able to get these finished for me before he passed away. The knives are made from ATS-34 and hollow ground. All the top knife needs is a handlle put on it and the bottom one needs the final grind, guard and handle completed. These knives have been cryo treated already... Here is a pic of them. If you can help please PM me. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Some more information may help.
Handle material desired?
Guard materrial?
Any handle particulars like rivet type, thong tubing, etc?

Im partial to bone handles of some sort. And just a brass guard for the bottom knife. Not really particular about the rivet type. Thanks

Sorry, I can't help ya. However, between my buddy and me we bought I think 5 of Jim's knives back in the late 80's. My dad still has two of them, maybe I could get some picts up if you wanted to follow his design/finishing cues? If I remember right all the knives we bought were handled with curly koa wood or something similar (although I know he used many different handle materials).

Thanks Stevo, I always enjoy looking at Sasser's knives so feel free to post up some pics. I had 2 finished Sasser knives that were stolen out of my pickup along with about 1500 dollars of hunting stuff about 2 weeks ago by some low life. Hence the reason Im trying to find someone who can finish these for me now.

When I get caught up a bit I am going to see if I can help CG out.
Crown stag for the skinner and jigged bone for the hunter should look good.
Maybe elk scales for the hunter?? Hmmmm.

Thank you these knives mean a lot to me. It would be awsome to pass these down to my kids one day.
