Looking at a 532

I am looking at getting a new buck for pocket carry. Discovered the 532 which apparently is not made anymore, but I can find some online. I love the size and handle and blade shape. Does anyone carry one?

I dont often as its a bit long for front pocket carry, for me. falls over and lays sideways. if they came with a belt sheath I might carry it more often. I do like the model though and have a handful of them.

I also dislike when they fall over in my pocket. I tend to stick a small knife in my watch pocket, and when I can something bigger on my belt. Something on my belt is discounted at work. I bought a couple of custom leather pocket slips/sheaths which I find helps keeps a knife vertical in my pocket. Around 4 inches is a great size to fill my hand and enough blade to tackle any daily tasks.

Yes, I have one and like it very much. I carry it from time to time, rotating it with a Case tribal lock and Case Wharncliffe copperlock, All three are about the same size and slimness. If you can find a 112 polyester sheath, that fits the 532 fairly well. (EDIT: I see that the 112 polyester sheath is back on the Buck website.) I found my 532 at the local knife shop a couple of years ago, then this past spring I was there looking through a pile of sheaths and found the "real deal" original leather.

I think I remember reading here that a 500 sheath works well; but I haven't tried it to confirm

I have/had two, a C&C exclusive blue indigo and the Remington R50032 "bullet knife" version. They're a bit smallish for my hands, so I much prefer the larger 531 or 500, but the wife absolutely loves the 532's and has latched onto both of them... as I said, I had two of them.

Thanks for the replies. I looked on ebay,, some are too much for me,, but Leroy Remer has a few for sale, I think I will pick one up.

I just got Remington 2019 Bullet knife with wooden scales, delivered. It perfectly meets another Remington 2019 Bullet knife with ivory micarta and silver bullet inlay - as well as my other 532s :)
I would love to share photos but site doesn't allow me to upload, sorry

I carry my 532in my pocket regularly, even sweats. It's a Scott Sawby design and shows it. My second favorite Buck, after the Mayo. One of the few of Sawbby designs mere mortals can afford to buy :) It's a very ergonomic design, works well in the kitchen.
