I am looking at three fixed blade knives.A Dozier Freedom Fighter,CRK Warrior and a Simonich Raven.I have no way of holding these as there is no dealer within 200 miles. This knife could be used for nothing or to take a worst case senario beating.Any recommendation on which and why? I would greatly appreciate any input I could get.

Sincerely, MPE

.. I'm guessing,, so if that be the case than there are far more choices out there than just these three. However, assuming that you have done your homework and narrowed your choices down to these then it is going to be Bob Dozier's FF hands down!. Extremely tough knife built for the harshest of scenarios. If you have owned Bobs knives in the past then you already know they come to you hair popping shaving sharp right out of the gate. Bobs famous D-2 heat treat is legendary and holds an edge like very few others. It also takes an edge with relative ease because of his fine grind. And last but not least his guarantee is rock solid.. Order the knife. Get a good feel for it and if you find you hate it, send it back and he will refund your money.

Best,
Anthony

Thanks Anthony.I own a couple CRKs(Sebenzas) and have read many, many great things about Dozier Knives.I was doing some side reading on the Simonich Knives and became fascinated. This helps in my decision making.

You can not go wrong with a CRK fixed blade. Bob Dozier's knives are EXCELLENT, as I have owned 1 or 2 in the past. The Simonich Raven might be very hard to come by. All are great choices.

Thanks KnifeCollector.As alway,you are a dependable source of info.And again,thanks Anthony.

For a heavy use blade, I would recommend something from Reeve's One-Piece range, like the Project or Shadow. A2 is just better designed for hard shocks than the S30V of the Warrior. And you get that cool hollow handle to stash stuff inside....
