Looking for 1/8" (or slightly larger) carbon fiber, can anyone help?

Hey guys. I'm working on a couple of folders and I need to find some 1/8" (or slightly bigger) carbon fiber. I can find 1/4" and larger all day long but have no way to split it cleanly without a lot of waste. And I don't really want to buy 1/4" and sand down nearly half of it into dust.

Your basic carbon fiber is fine...no lightning strike or colored twill.

Tracy @ USAknifemaker had some 690 in 0.125" but it's now out of stock with no idea of a restock date.

I think Masecraft has 1/8" but they want a $50 minimum order.

Any help? I need 4 pieces, 1 1/8" x 2 5/8" minimum.

Thanks, but I don't need that much. A set of scales 1.5" x 6" would be ideal, could split each piece and be good to go.
 
If you are not finding what you are looking for I have some carbon fiber scraps. You could press your own, it's what I plan to do with them. If you are interested shoot me an email at j_klatham@msn.com Jess

Don't really want to press my own, would rather have professionally made pieces.
 
Try your local hobby shop. I've found a few sizes at the local hobby shop in the RC department and in the metals (rod/bar/sheet) area. I bought a 3' stick of cf rod for handle pins the other day for $6, but they had sheets too. Not horribly priced either.
