hey guys so i need some help. Im wondering if anyone knows any sites or links or can point me in the direction of 2 items. The first being long narrow q tips for times i wanna clean out grit and grime without stripping everything down like be able to slip between the scales of my folders. Also what would you guys recommend for spreading oil? when i strip down my knives and oil washers and everything i only use 1 or 2 drops and was wondering if theres anything anyone uses to help spread it out on the washers?

Dental tools. Well... not exactly. Dental tools, made of metal, are great for getting into small areas. But they tend to be very sharp and they are metal. So they can scratch or gouge knives and guns. Luckily someone thought of that.

Pick sets that look like dental tools are available in nylon or plastic. These won't scratch things (at least not easily) and can get into small areas. You might search for "plastic pick set", "nylon pick set", or "gun cleaning pick set". You'll find lots of things to choose from.

I have a set of metal picks, but never really use them any more. Too sharp.

Your finger? :) Q-Tips work, but of course they absorb oil. But that can be good too because they are then an applicator for spreading just a super thin film of oil on whatever you rub them on.

Brian.

Popsicle sticks cut into a wedge shape are good to get into folding knives to scrape gunk out.

hm picks is a good idea and that could work also by applying a little gun cleaning cloth to it and soaking it in rubbing alc to clean out gunk especially on the benchmade knives. ill have to look that up. Yeah thats my issue is finding something that wont absorb all the oil but let me kinda spread it its been a very hard thing to google cause im not exactly sure what to type in
