I was wondering on what everybodies opinions were between some folders.
First One's - Spyderco Military, Stretch II, Benchmade 615, 635, 940, ZT 0200 or Lone Wolf Blackfoot. Any other suggestions would be great.

Second - Looking for a tanto blade. Any suggestions would be helpful, not really well versed in tanto blade shaped folders.

Thanks,
Matt

out of your list i own the military and all the benchmades. the 615 is a tank of a knife and the 635 is a pretty stout piece in its own right. the 940 is a little too dainty for me. the military is just as stout as the 615 but the action doesnt feel as smooth to me. i'd opt for the 615, theyve been disco'd and prices are on the definate rise.

My suggestions for you to consider:

1) Toss up between the Spyderco Military and the ZT 0200. It comes down to personal choice here. Do you like 'sports cars' or 'off road vehicles'?

2) Emerson CQC-7B. The tanto bladed folder to have, if you could have only one!

Good luck!

I have one of these, SOG X-Ray Vision, if you wanna trade:

If I had to have a Tanto, it'd either be a Strider GB or Emerson CQC-7. I am not a fan of the blade shape though.

Spyderco Military fits the bill though.

I'd go stretch or military out of the first pic. I really like both, stretch seems a bit better for my EDC use.

Not sure on tantos, don't like them or use them.

I would not consider the BM 940 to be a tactical folder.

For tantos, Emerson CQC-7B is the way to go!

Another vote for Emerson.

ZT0200 and for the tanto, the Emerson or the ZT0400.

You asked for tactical. The 3 mentioned above are about as good as you're going to find. Good analogy on the tank versus sports car thing.

You have to look the the EDI GEN' 1 was a great Tac folder-very light and easy to handle-also keeps great edge
