looking for 3/8" Nickel Silver Bar Stock

Any of you folks know who has some 3/8" nickel silver barstock in stock? Everyone I get in touch with seems to be out of it.

I looked at a few places that I know used to carry it, and they don't even list NS barstock anymore. It's all sheet, and the thickest seems to be 1/8", if they have NS at all.

They all seem to have plenty of SS barstock though.

Sheffield is the only place I buy the stuff

They carry the kind that doesnt turn yellow (high nickel content) and have just about every size you can imagine.....they will shear it off a big piece to whatever size you want.

Of course, I havent bought any for years, but thats the way it used to be. TM

John, you can also try Avins Metals. They have various alloys and can get you whatever you need. Ask for Ralph Albano. He was helpful to me about 8 months ago on a project.

I just ordered 4 bars of 3/8" X 3/4" from Sheffield a couple of days ago. They seem to be about the only ones who have it in stock........ price has gone up to $23 per bar.

Thanks, fellas! I gave Sheffield a call. Nice folks there, too. Avins looks like a great choice for alloys, too. The last bar I bought from another source was really yellow when it arrived.
