I am a legitimate businessman here.

Seems America does not want law abiding Canadians to have .303 British to .32 centerfire pistol caliber chamber adapters that have been made in the USA.

Anybody know where you can get them in Canada with out having to pay a 300 percent markup? Also needless to say, looking for a LEGAL source.

Would prefer the cheap ones such as marketed by sportsman's guide *don't ship to Kanada*.

I know where to get the high dollar European made ones, but don't see the need to pay $$$$ for something so simple.

The market is certainly here for that product in Canada, plus a bunch of other gun related accessories/parts/etc, however almost no retailers in Canada really bother to serve the need.
Finding any aftermarket stuff can be a major pain!

I really doubt it's an American export problem. The odds are much more likely that it's a local import problem. I used to deal quite a bit with import/export restrictions and Customs on both sides of the USA/Canada boarder, and as manufacture of gun parts (back then) the US didn't really care who I sent them to (some restrictons). Canada didn't like them to come in.

Strangely enough, it was easy to export guns from Canada (24 hour turn around on paperwork) where the US took 3-6 MONTHS to approve importation.

The easy way to get some would be to pick some up next time you visit and just throw them in the luggage. I used to haul stuff to one of my dealers in Vancouver every 3-4 months. Never had a problem.

Its a bit of both really, Canadian retailers are not filling the void to serve the Canadian customers. Also the American gov't gun parts/accessories export regs can be a bit strange, some U.S retailers avoid the hassle by simply not selling to Canadians and those outside the U.S. There are weird U.S gov't regs on the amount of value of items one can export and you cannot go above a certain dollar value or you will have to get into special licenses and what not.
I looked into this a few months back as i was trying to find parts for two specific firearms. It was very frustrating, as i could see the items were in stock at U.S sites but either company policies or gov't export regs prevented me from getting the items. I'm not talking receivers or barrels just simple things like safeties/screws etc.

Yep you can thank BJ Clinton, every part of a gun imported or exported has to have a separate export/import paperwork from the Feds, screws, springs, pins etc

Anyways, I am not about anti- insert country here, Americans are family. Stop by for a coffee sometime. I am glad the Hammond game getter is available, the cheapo .303/32 whatever inserts are poorly chambered, so far I have heard case splitting on the first shot is assured. Hardly a practical field tool.

Try mcace he makes them and i think he lives in alaska. Those are the only 2 places ive ever gotten them, direct from him and sportsmans guide.

ace does not ship to Canada anymore. Sportsman's guide adapters are the ones that split your casings. Thanks anyways. Hammond is the way to go.
