Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a smaller fixed blade for outdoor work and for EDCing. It will be used for light wood working, occasionally splitting firewood via batoning, and then just normal EDC activities around the house and at work. I am looking for a good steel in terms of edge holding and corrosion resistance... I'd ideally like something in VG-10. If anyone has any suggestions for a knife that fits this criteria, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

Check out the Bob Dozier web page. He has several in the 4" range and he uses D2 for almost all of his blades.
A.G. Russell carries most of the Dozier line and I just got my Dozier Arkansas Toothpick via A.G. Russell today. Ordered it Monday got it today....now thats some good service and the knife is absolutly awsome!!!

Reeve Ubejane is 4.5 inches of stout blade. If on a lower budget you can't go wrong with the Ontario Rat or a Swamp Rat or a Camillus Becker.
