EDIT: D'oH!! I forgot to put in a price. I would like to keep it around $60 or less. I can go a bit over that if something really tickles my fancy.

So I'm looking for a tough woods/camp knife. Probably my ideal knife for this is the BK10 but those things won't hit the market for at least six months, maybe longer. In the mean time I'd like to find something similar.

My criteria:
-4.5-6" blade, Ideally 5-5.5"
-3/16th" (0.188") thick, no 1/4" thick blades
-full size knife/handle. No tweeners, short Ka-Bars ect.
-Full length tang. Preferably an exposed tang with slab scales but a well made stick tang would be OK
-lanyard hole would be nice but not a deal breaker
-don't see the point of a choil on a blade this short but I don't see many knives without so I'll take one if I have to.

Knives I'm considering as of right now:
-OKC RBS-4
-OKC RBS afghan
-OKC SP-46
-Condor rodan

Knives I ruled out:
-Ka-Bar mark 1, looks nice but it just doesn't do it for me
-Ka-Bar short F/U, same as above plus not exactly full-size
-Ka-bar Becker 15/16/17, not fullsize (do want a BK16 though)
-becker BK2, too thick and I already have one.

I'd love to hear any other suggestions.

The ESEE 6 is pretty close. The blade is 5.75" and it does have a choil. Everything else is in line with your specs.

BTW it also comes with a kydex type sheath, so factor that into any cost comparison.

Bark River Knives Bravo 1.5 3v... I know that you are not into the thickness, but the edge is rather fine (but still very tough) for such a thick knife; though I do not own one, I've handled one and was very impressed. Otherwise either the ESEE 6 or their Laserstrike may work.

Cost limitations? If not, I'd say get a SOG Team Leader in 20CV. Helluva knife. Can be had for 150.

I've got one. It's a very underrated knife, but I'm not sure I'd bash on it in the woods unless I had no other choice. The steel is great. They are a bit hard to find though.

I also have an OKC Rat-5 in D2 steel. Takes a sharp edge and stay that way for a long time. I think this one meets all your criteria. That's one I can bash on in the woods. Also discontinued, but can still be found at various online knife stores.

Oh I feel dumb. I forgot to put my budget in the criteria. Edited the OP. I'm looking to stay around $60 or less. I can go a bit higher if I really like the knife. Unfortunately this rules out pretty much every suggestion so far. Sorry about that fellas.

SOG Seal Pup Elite, and if you look around you may be able to get it for less than $60. 3/16" thick, 5"ish long, full (not exposed) tang, nice sheath and super light.
