Hey so, I'm working on a video review for the delica 4. And I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share with me their experiences with this knife. Was the vg-10 as good as it's advertised? How do you like the FRN compared to others like g10, what about that leafeshaped blade?

I'm doing this because while I like many of the reviews on it allready,I find that they ramble a lot. and they are visually quite boring. Especially since most of them are just gesturing hands on a table.

Just for reference this is the last vid I did https://youtu.be/8ktNzndB7aY
It's on the Leek. So any opinions of suggestions for that would be very welcome. And if there is something you think should be included in my delica review, just leave it below, and I'll be sure to look into it.

As always, thanks for your time, you guys are the best.

There's literally thousands of reviews on forums and YouTube about the delica 4. It's a review....you shouldn't be asking for other people's opinions, you should formulate your own. Use it for a few months and then see for yourself.

I was hoping to acknowledge other people opinions and experiences as distinct from my own. No one person can ever be perfectly objective.

The Delica is one of Spyderco's most popular models. There are absolutely no shortage of written reviews, video reviews, and commentary on such a popular knife that has been in production for ages. I can't believe you still need more feedback on this small folding knife.

Get it. Use it. And form your own opinion.

There are many more. The Delica is the perfect pocket knife or EDC knife. It is slim, light, and has awesome ergonomics. I have a few and will have more. It is my favorite knife, not just Spyderco, but knife by any maker. It has a finger guard and bi-directional texturing to keep your fingers from sliding onto the super sharp blade. If there is gunk in the lock and it should accidentally fail, the knife is designed so that the flat part behind the blade contacts your finger instead of the cutting edge. Again, safety first for this knife. The knife cuts extremely well and does most things well. The blade shape is a good, all around design that accomplishes tasks with aplomb. I suggest you buy one, break it in properly and you will love it. You will never need another knife.

It's a great knife. Try to find the sprint run in super blue steel if you can. I love mine!

My first personal experience with Spyderco knives was with my girlfriend's Delica. I sharpened it for her. It's kind of how we met. She was working as an equine veterinary technician and spent a LOT of time using her knife in and around the barn, opening boxes of fluids, breaking down those empty boxes, slicing open bags of woodshavings, cutting baling twine and rope as well as other things that I can't recall. She would wear it down pretty good during the week.

I am a fan of VG-10. It's a fine cutlery steel and takes a shaving edge easily. However, if I skipped a week sharpening her knife, it dulled up.

The leaf shaped blade worked very well for her. For her uses, a hawk bill or Wharncliffe would not have been as useful. She tries a Matriarch, but that didn't work as well as the Delica, neither did the ZT0350 with a combo blade. She has a ZT0301 now that might be as useful, but it's a lot heavier. She "borrowed" my Native lightweight because it fit her slightly better than the Delica, and today she has her eye on my ZT0450 (girl has taste!).

The backlock was never an issue, though she a fan of liner locks. Personally, I like the FRN. Impervious to solvents (her knife spent a fair amount of time in both water and alcohol), tough, grippy, with the feel of swanky lightweight aerospace material. I know some people think they feel cheap, but, I'm guessing none of them work on airplanes.

In short, I have found the Delica to be a superb EDC knife with few peers.
