Looking for a black and blue traditional folder

Hi all. A friend is retiring from law enforcement and I want to buy him a knife. I am looking for a knife to symbolize his work so I was thinking black and blue scales. So far I looked at the buck stockman 371 w/ black scales and blue stripes. It is made in china but very reasonably priced which is nice. I also looked at the case blue bone line. It is more expensive but made in the USA and probably better quality. What is y'all's opinion of those and can you offer more options to check out. Thanks.

I am sure he would appreciate either knife, although I have no experience with them. Just as options to check out, I know Todd Davison numbers 978, 1032 and 1040 are some really nice black and blues. I can't post pics, but can email them if you like.

This is a tough one..I can't think of anything black and blue other than a Custom Ken Erickson..but there are many blue knives to signify the thin blue line.

Case has a whole line up of Blue Bone traditionals right now. Nice blue/black color. Nothing wrong with Buck traditionals even the Chinese made ones are decent quality. Hard to beat jigged bone though. If your looking for something a little fancier, they also have the Mediterranean Blue Damascus available in several patterns. All depends on your budget really.

Can't think of many that come blue & black.

It may take a little work, but you could always swap a scale on a SAK. Maybe buy a black one & swap a blue scale on the other side? Replacement scales are on the bay for cheap. Or, buy a 1 blue and 1 black SAK, swap scales, then you & your buddy would each have one?

I have seen somewhere some Case with special blue handles and police shield, you should ask for that, it is quite purpose made. Just google (or use DuckDuckGo) "Case police knife".
