Hi everybody,

I love the style and function of a Buck knife. I'm looking for a single-blade, Buck or Buck-like knife, and I'm wondering what my best options are. Ideally cost is under $50.

Kershaw wildcat ridge is around $20-$25 and the same size as a 110

There is also the Kershaw Black Gulch, Grand County, Corral creek...etc

Also the Schrade Bear Paw is around $20-$25

What model Buck knife? The 110 is under $50. Most bucks are under that price except for the special made or the larger knives.

DIY,

I sometimes post confusing replies, especially on tech questions but I am scratching my head on your question. As stated if you want a Buck then look at them. If you want one like a Buck but not a Buck you will have to give everyone some more info so they know which Buck you want one like. In my collector area, the small Buck folders, I believe they still make the 302 model which is a one bladed standard stockman size knife. How about giving some more hints....300Bucks

If you are just looking at a single bldade lockback knife you have a multitude of cutleries to choose from.

Buck, Case, Schrade, Canal Street Cutlery, Queen, and GEC.

Buck also makes a 302 Solitaire, 379 Solo and 55. They are pocket friendly sizes.

You can pick up a genuine Buck 110 in many sporting goods or discount stores for well under $50.00. Heck you can buy on line at the famous warehouse retailer and have it delivered in your mailbox for excellent prices. Do yourself a favor and buy an original, not a copy. You'll be glad you did. I was 48 years old before I bought my first and realized what I had missed out all those years. Buck makes a really good knife at a fair price with an exceptional warranty. The 110's are made in the US too. For a bit north of $100.00, you can get one out of the custom shop with your choice of steel and handle materials.

I've had a Buck 110 for many many years. But the Buck 112 has become a favorite of mine. A little more compact, but will still do the work of a 110.

The Buck 110 is the original folding hunter; as C.C. Filson advertises, 'might as well have the best'! OH

My Kershaw Black Gulch has a 3" blade with a 2 5/8" cutting edge much like the BUCK 112 RANGER.
