Hello,

i am new to this forum but I hope somebody can help me.

I collect knives for many years know and buy modern blades most of the time, but I like designs that feature a classic twist.

Recently I thougth about getting a knife with an "oriantal" or "arabien" style (if something like this exists). I got this idea when I found a picture of a REKAT hobbit warrior. Searching the net I only found two other knifes from cold steel ("scimitar", "tulwar") that featured that feel, so I wanted to ask if somebody knows other knifes that are designed in this way.

Spyderco Persian, if you're looking for a folder.
Are you looking for a folder or fixed blade, and what size would you like?

Just picked up a Spyderco Persian (It Rocks ImI). The Bussfield(SP?) folders from Beretta are also peachy. For fixed blades search around for the Ek Magnum Hunter. AG Russell had a few.

Emerson make a awsome persian style folder, so does al mar (shrike) but, if you want a cool asian style folder check out the cold steel hisatsu

Thank you for your input. I am checking the mentioned blades out. As for the question folder or fixed, I don't really care because i more or less only search for my collection and not for practical use (which doesn't mean that I want to buy one of those weird "fantasy blades" that only are for show)

edit Khukri are in my opinion very interesting knives but I guess it is quite difficult to find a nice one (only the black "tactical" one from cold steel comes to my mind)

The scimitar looks interesting. But what are these "revesre grip fighting knives". Are they made for specific martial arts or is this some kind of add. Sorry have no real clue of self defense knives.

The emerson persian looks very interesting too! I read that there is a fixed version out but I couldn't find a picture of it. Does anybody know how it looks?
