Hey there everyone!

I am a pretty new knife maker and have been forging everything from an arkansas toothpick to a wakazashi. Even though i have only been doing it for about a year i probably have about 300+ hours on the forge.

I am looking for a very interesting or unique blade/weapon/tool design for me to try and create. I would really appreciate any suggestions for the design and even the type of steel it should be made of.

As soon as i have a couple of suggestions( assuming people care enough to comment :p) i will then pick the one that i think is most interesting. After choosing it should take a day to three to create, judging by my past work.

Thanks for reading my post!

Hmmm i have never made a multi prong spear with a hamon before. And the seven point sword is neat but it wouldnt fit in my 16 inch by 12 inch propane forge for the heat treat:(

I may just go ahead and make a boot knife aswell because of how simple it is and the fact that i dont have one!

Thanks guys!

Jeff- The Sting is one gorgeous knife. You could even grind it on one side. :)

Oh and also here is a link to some of my work, most of the good stuff has been given as gifts or sold to freinds and neighbors so i dont have pictures of them unfortunatly:( i will try and get the new owners to snap photos for me to post.

The knives that appear in order are;
1. Chrome vanadium axe knife, made from wrench
2. Soap stone carving tool, made from O1
3. Kukri style blade, made from O1
4. Tanto throwing knife, made from punch press die (d2)
5. Chrome vanadium chefs knife, made from wrench
6. Hunter skinner, made from cro bar(1050)
7. Kunai, made from cylinder ram(1055)
8. 1/2 inch chisel, made from cpm rex 76
9. 1/4 inch chisel, made from cpm 3v
10. Zero scandi filed utility knife( unfinished), made from the other end of the chefs knife wrench!

Yes sometime simplicity is the most beautiful, and you mean just leave one side of the blade flat? That would be interesting because i have not done that to any of my knives:p

Well i have finally made my decision, im going to make the african throwing knife.

Firstly, because i have recently started throwing knives. And also because it just looks so cool:p

Thanks for the awesome ideas everyone!
