Looking for a compact padded travel case for my new Sebenza

Hey all,

Just picked up a brand new Chris Reeve Sebenza 21, small with micarta inlay.

It's perfect. And I intend to use it regularly. No safe queens for me. I have a Maxpedition Dodecapod that I keep the majority of my collection in. That said, I'm looking for something super soft and secure for just my Sebenza. The Maxpediton R7 Tactical looks perfect, but I know there might be other quality options out there.

What do you guys suggest?

Also, I saw that Chris Reeve makes accessory lanyards with titanium beads on them. Only found them at GPK but they were sold out. Any other dealers carry them?

PS. Don't worry, I'll get pics up soon :D

Thanks!

The one you already saw -- Maxpedition R7 -- is what I have. I haven't found anything better.

Thanks for pointing the R7 out. I'd never noticed it and it looks quite handy. Just added one to my want list.
Tad pricey, but not that bad if you want to tote 3 or 4 knives, or a knife and some other stuff.

If all you want it something for the Seb, maybe one of the zippered pouches. AG Russell has a number of them in different sizes, including a small one that would probably be about right for a small Seb. Below $10 and decently made...padded and secure.
Spyderco also has a similar pouch, not very expensize.

I have to say… when I fly, my knives and tools go in my socks inside one of my packed shoes. I should probably come up with a more expensive solution… :D
