Looking for a Crosslock Hoofpick

looking for a dealer or individual who has a Buck Hoofpick in stock.

Trying to buy one for a gift.

It was in the catalog for one or two years. I checked my local shop and they don’t have any left. I might stop in there tomorrow and rummage through the shelves to make sure.

I suggest calling Buck if you haven’t already. They might have something in their store. It might be your best chance. Since they canned it, it probably wasn’t a really good seller.
 
do you know what year catalog that was greg???---curious to see what it looks like???
 
They were available in brown and red in 2016. I did a quick internet search Big store reatailers still list the Buck 0183 hoof pick but none of them have any available as this knife is listed as discontinued.
 
ok found it-thanks--I remember seeing that now....at one time they had all those crosslocks in the blem case at the factory sale...and all were gone by the end of sale....

Search google images for Buck Crosslock hoofpick. A bunch of pictures will pop up. Click on each one and you will see several have a link attatched at the bottom to places you can buy one.
 
Besides the recent Brown and Red 183 Hoofpick CrossLocks, there were 3 180 CrossLocks with hoofpicks, one standard, one for Pro Rodeo (c.1995), and one with a Purina Mills logo. These appear regularly on the bay, not really rare so you should have good luck tracking one down. I was not aware of the selector version, another I need to get.... it never ends.

Here is the original model 180 version from the 90's. Has a glass filled nylon frame I believe. The I think the Crosslock was the knife of the year in 1994. There are lots of variations. I don't have them all yet.

Tried that, every place was out of stock.

I think this group was raised on comic books.... they can only follow along if you show them pictures.... :D
I'll be attending a knife show this weekend, I'll keep a lookout.

Lapedog, you're a Gold Member you can talk about anything as far as getting a knife you just can't say, I'm selling this one for $$$....
