Hello,

Does anyone know of any custom knife makers that make Lobster Knives?

I found one, but he wasn't interested in making what I wanted. I'm not looking for a show piece, but a daily carry.

I'm sure you know what a lobster knife is. There are usually small at about 2.5 to 3" long closed with a blade/tool at each corner. I'm looking for a larger knife in that same style. I'd like to main blades, both 3" long. One a spear point and the other a serrated sheeps foot. I'd also like a pocket clip.

Thanks!

There are a few makers that make lobster patterns:
Gray Taylor
Dan Burke
Ron Newton
Joel Chamblin
Richard Rogers

Bailey Bradshaw also llkes making these type of period pieces, but I don't know if he is interested in making a lobster pattern.

I don't know if any of those guys would be interested in amking one with a serrated blade or pocket clip.

Mind you, somne are not (as far as I know) taking orders. Others have waiting lists till the 23rd century.

Shaldag has it covered for some reason ;).
Keep in mind they are tough time consuming knives to make so cheap is not much of an option.
There is a really nice one available right now on plaza cutlery and they are great folks to get to know and work with.

Hmm for a daily carry piece
I would contact David Taylor (Gray's son) or
2 other makers who make a sweet sweet Lobsters are
Ryu Kawamura and Tominari Hamada

Dang it, Riad, ya got me.:D
My memory isn't what it used to be.

I didn't know that David Taylor made lobster patterns, though.
