I'm looking for two knives a benchmade-mel pardue axis folder and a Kershaw whirlwind. Can anyone tell me the best place to buy these knives so I won't get ripped off. These are some great knives and I refuse to pay store retail on them.

how about shopping here? Spark has good customer service and you know where to find him if a question comes up.

Bubba, welcome to Bladeforums!

Guy G is right, but perhaps a bit obscure. One Stop Knife Shop is the online knife dealer who also owns and runs Bladeforums. Buying from 1SKS supports the forums in that sense. Better yet, he really is competitively priced, has a great selection, and will fill your order fast.

Over the years, I've collected a list of many dealers I found cheap and reliable. As time goes on and you need to feed your addiction, you'll run across a few of them, recommended by others, also. :D

You can also read through our Good, Bad, and Ugly forum to see who you can trust, but that mostly lists individuals.

When you say Mel Pardue Axis, are you referring to the 520? The best price I found on that was from www.tadgear.com. The price isn't listed. When you add it to your cart, you can see the price - $99.

In general, I find that www.knifeworks.com has very good prices, although they often don't have the knife I am looking for in stock. That just means a bit more wait until they back-order it.

I believe that 1sks is a benchmade distributor and must list certain prices, but they do price match. Drop them an email.
