Looking for a Dog Vest

I have a Black Lab/Chow mix that has become a pretty awesome hiking partner and I am looking into purchasing a dog vest for her. This is Texas and it gets pretty hot, so I want something that allows me to carry extra water for her without adding a lot of material that is going to cause her to heat stroke. I have seen some, but they are the more "tactical" variety, which is cool because they allow for modular setups, but they are all Cordura and way too heavy/hot.

Does anyone have any recommendations/suggestions?

How about the molle vests and you add a couple canteen pouches on the sides. I've seen some that were lighter weight, with most of the thickness along the spine the sides were pretty light.

I know the Ruffwear Palisades has a strong following. It looks good to me, but after buying a collar from them that didn't have the build quality the price commanded I've stayed away. I've a long affinity with Hurtta kit and don't anticipate change.
