I am currently looking for a fixed blade knife and I am having trouble finding suitable candidates. Ideally the knife would meet these specifications

-Double edged
-Blade length = 3.5" - 5"
-Thinner handle is preferred
-Good steel
-Somewhere under about $250

I really like the benchmade 220 fixed resistor but it’s not double edged. What do you guys recommend?

hey dont only go for expensive, but I know you want something good. I've never owned a gerber guardian, but I hear their pretty good.

Boker Applegate-Fairbairn Combat Boot Knife would be a choice. 9" overall. 4 3/4" 440C. I like its design, plus it's less than $100.

hey ryan, the guardian isnt a bad choice. you can check my for sale thread.

or look at dozierknives.com

bob has several that may fit the bill.

I just bought a CRKT Sting and am very impressed. 1050 may not be the most
exotic steel in the world but you won't find much tougher. If you were really worried about edge performance you would get a single edge anyway.
