I have been looking on every knife site I can think of for a knife like this and I cant find it. There are ones very similar like the Fallkniven Volcano or the Puma or even the buck Kalinga old westerns ETC. But nothing in carbon steel or full tang. If anyone knows where I might find a knife like this or a company that makes one. Please for the love of god let me know so I can buy it and stop looking. I would prefer O1 but could live with 5160 or 52100. Blade no bigger than 7" but no less than 5".

Please don't move my thread to the( Knives of the 1700 bora bora revolution or Under water knife making ) this is where I want it so I can get the best advice. I don't want to talk to makers just people who may know where I might find my white whale.

You are really going to have to look at the Custom makers to get what you want.

There are plenty of them here on Blade Forums.

A clip point or trailing point is common. The Buck Kalinga (a scimitar) can be found on the big auction site and at gun shows. Be prepared with $$$'s. It's sheath is well made. DM

Buck Kalinga can be found with other handles, besides the standard wood, but they are stainless steel.

I really want bone or antler with carbon steel. The knife is as hard to find as big foot. I am on a list with my favorite Maker for January but I am still on the hunt. Really I would love to make it my self but I don't have the ability to heat treat it or the time to make it.

I know it's out there.

Other than customs, it's NOT out there....

I'm sure it is there's a busse on eBay that's close just a clip point. So thanks for you encourageing words. Like I said I have a spot in January with a maker so I already have that base coverd so I get your point from both posts. In the mean time I may find something. Or hopefully someone might see something somewhere and post it. I don't care if it's production or custom. But really thanks

Don't bother looking, it's not happening other than what I already posted...

That or maybe an Antique knife...... If you can find one that's still in one piece and for sale.... Would cost more than MOST customs..... Good luck with that one though...

You are looking for what doesn't exist in production blades.... At all....

Blind Horse made one with tool steel, but no stag/bone handle and the blade is too short.

There are a couple of Case knives that come close in terms of style but they are most likely stick tang and an inch or so too short.

Found a bunch of Randall's that meet what you want......

Took all of about 10 Seconds......

Where the Randall's full tang if so where did you see them because I would like to see them and don't get all pissy just because I did not take just your word for it and stop looking. I would really like to see a Randall that meets everything I would buy it.

90% of Randall's are full tang....

And they are easy to find....

How about putting new handles on a spyderco southfork or becker...15 (?)...

Or contacting Swamp Rat to see about a custom Rodent trail...

Most Randall's look hidden tang to me. Yes I have considered buying a knife and rehandling it just seeing if there was a buy it now deal someone might have seen.

They are full tang... just not exposed....

They meet what you want...

Except maybe price as they aren't cheap even ordering from Randall directly and waiting over 5 Years....

They are the most well known fixed blades on the planet...... And have the best reputation of any maker on the planet...
