Hey, I'm kinda dumb. What GEC knives are larger than a Barlow? Do they make a Super Barlow or an UBR Barlow???

The Barlow is 3.5" closed.

As far as GEC models that I can think of are the 92 Eureka Jack, the 78 American Jack, the 79 Workhorse to name a few.

Maybe your question can be better answered if you specify precisely why you want to know. There are many different patterns from GEC and LOTS are larger then a barlow. Yet even saying that is hard because are you only talking about the TC barlows from GEC or in general? If you are talking in general, barlows can range from the smallest knife you have seen all the way up to the largest knife you have seen. Consequently there are other, larger sized barlows such as the "big daddy barlow" but I don't think GEC makes any in that size or pattern, at least not that I have seen. TBH I am finding your question a bit to open ended and hard to answer...

If your looking for a recommendation perhaps look at the famous #47 Viper???

Just a few indeed :thumbup::D

Well, I was referring to the Madison Barlow (which has a 3.5" BLADE). I thought it was a 2.5" BLADE. I've seen a few at that size. Now that I realized that the Madison has a 3.5" blade, that's exactly what I am looking for. But if you still want to give some suggestions, I am looking for a GEC that has a taller and maybe longer blade than a Case Trapper. ....prefereably without the laser engravings that cover the entire blade.

Interestingly enough, the 42 and the Madison seem to be on the same pattern in at least as much as being the exact same size.

The model 23 Pioneer is a 4½" knife closed, with blades between 3½ and 3¾ inches.

I'm a fan of the #42 myself. Tried the #23 and found it to be a bit too large for EDC and I use it as a choice knife to be carried if I am heading to the woods hiking or perhaps hunting. Will often add a fixed blade in that situation, but honesly, I have seldom found that the fixed blade was actually needed for cutting chores.

Just so you know, to date GEC's blade etches are relatively lightly applied. Other than a Special Factory Order with a deeper into-the-metal etch such as the Champlin knives, all will disappear with Flitz and/or use. If you're looking for a user, don't let a GEC etch deter you.

all of the ones you have so wonderfully displayed. Pls tell me those are all your knives, not photo shope. Why ? because the entire collection is first class in general, and the method of display is 100% on target. Thanks for allowing me to see them. A lot of mine don't have boxes, therefore I store them in an old Cheerwine bottle crate that is faded ruby color, the edges or the wood are hollowed out due to everyday wear, maybe 50 years ? Lined all insides with cream mole skin.

I just picked up another #72 & another #73 as I like a bigger Knife at times.!
When I go to the Lake or to the Woods I just don't like real small Knives and I really like my Wharncliffe Blades as my 3
#72's have that Blade and I probably have 30 to 40 of the Wharnie Blades (Case Swayback Jacks and Gents ~~ I love em all -- Small ~ Med. and Large Wharnie Blades.!
