Looking for a gentleman's folder around $45.

Hello all. I'm looking for recommendations on a gentleman's folder for under $50. I am not really into the multi-blade or Swiss Army style. What are some good options?

3 different styles folders i own :

my favorite one : centofante 3 ( ~55$ on ebay)

i also like my buck vantage avid (~35$ onebay)

if you want a really cheap one , i like my SR 738 (~20$ onebay)

It's going to depend a lot on what you like. Here are three that I like that are good knives in that price range in that price range. The first is a Kershaw Leek which is a modern folder. Second is a Case Sod Buster which in my opinion is kind of in between a modern folder and a traditional knife. Third is a Case Mini Trapper which is a traditional knife. There are a lot of choices out there but I don't think you can go wrong with any of these three.

I like the centofante 3 that hellvenger posted. I would buy it pretty much anywhere other than Ebay though. Almost every "Did I get a fake" thread started here had its beginnings on ebay. :roll eyes: Just not worth it to save $5

btw, I'm a big spyderco supporter but Kershaw has a larger lineup of options in that price range.

you're right about ebay but i never heard about a fake centofante 3

+1 for the Kershaw Leek. Get the composite blade if you can.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I actually stumbled upon a great deal on a Kershaw Leek from a trusted seller on eBay. It's the DLC coated frame lock version. Not exactly a traditional gentleman's folder but I have been wanting a Leek for a while.
I really like the looks of the Buck Vantage Avid. That one is now on my short list.

I find the Nura (3 in and 3.5 in versions) to be the most classy, elegant and "gentlemantly-looking" kershaw in yout price range, I'd really recommend it as an option amongst other Kershaws like the Volt, Leek, Skyline or Link.

This one's prettier, though. Slick stainless steel scales and beautiful lines for ya!

I think you should take a look at the Spyderco Cat. It is a superb knife for around $46.
