I am looking for a bag that can double as a bug out bag and something for overnight stays.do not want a back pack type bag something with shoulder strap and I doesnt have to be reall big just something to grab and go. Thanks for all your opinions

I have the Maxpedition Falcon II that I bought after having the Jumbo for a few years. I rather the Falcon II and use it as a take along bag with all my gear that I like to travel with. Clothes go in a regular suit case/carry along but all my tools and comfort items are in the Falcon II. I got the orange so it doesn't look tactical like the Jumbo did.

Maxpedition Mongo works great. A little bigger than the Jumbo but not too big like luggage. I can get everything needed in mine plus some extras for some outdoor fun.

Look at the Bug Out Bags at LA Police Gear. Countycomm also has them, and offers one in an oversized version.

Most the maxpeditions will work just fine, as will man camelbaks. I own way to many day bags and just added a MC Camelbak Trizip since I wanted something in multicam but bigger than my TT operator pack for this years elk hunt since we are already getting snow it going to be a cold little outting. FYI just to let you know, its best to know that most the bags that will comfortable do an over night stay is ment to be hiked in, which will typically be a dual shoulder strap style pack, nothing wrong with a little jumbo or what not, but unless you plan to sleep under the star, eating 1 little meal, and have no sort of emergency kit, your pack will likely be 2300 to 3000 cuin (depending on insulation/ food/ comfort devices etc.), which is not going to sling at all.
