Looking for a grinder

Why not just buy knife blanks, anything that would automatically profile different style blades would surely be cost prohibitive to a small maker.

I'd also like to add that you gain no experience that way.

Just buy them pre ground from koval or texas knife maker supply, add scales and presto.

Ditto striper28, no grinder will do that but a CNC milling machine will do it and if you have to ask how much you can't afford it IMO!

I would think if you want blades profiled, contact a laser or water jet cutter. Or like the gents above already mentioned, buy blades from on of the many suppliers. -- Charles

Of course you could just buy a bandsaw, grinder and drill press, and eat steel dust like I do ;)

Hey Charles, when ya eat steel dust, what do ya put on it? Epoxy sauce? :D

I am looking for what I believe is called a pantograph-grinder, where you put a blank in one are, and the second arm mimics its shape.
I would like to buy one or have someone come in and build one.
I would do this in our shop, with our people.
Thanks
