can you gents recommend a decent hat, boonie style. digi camo would be nice but tough as nails a must

Tilley. They last forever. Even if swallowed repeatedly by an elephant.

+1 I've had my Tilley T3 for twenty years, have worn it in harsh environments and washed it countless times and it's still going strong. It's just an awesome hat. That being said, if you're looking for a boonie hat specifically, a Tilley may not be as close to that style as you might want.

Both us cavalry and cabelas both have that type of hat. However I do not have personal experience with either of them.

I dunno. I went down to the army surplus store about a dozen years ago and bought a boonie hat made by Propper. It's held up well. Think it cost about $10.

Agreed. I have a couple military issue boonie hats I got super cheap way back when I was in high school and they have held up extremely well. I much prefer my Tilley, though, so my boonie hats are seldom worn anymore.

The Filson Tin Cloth is one of the most durable hats on the planet.
