Looking for a hatchet trade

Do you have any experience with Gransfors? The small forest axe looks pretty appealing, I am eager to try one. Sorry no hatchets to trade though....

I am in the process of modifying an older hatchet, I am going to drive a drift through it later next week and try and give it a tomahawk flavor... I tried it out a little while ago and it worked very well, the grind is very steep, it really sinks in. I decided I wasn't finished so to try it out I made a VERY rough handle out of poplar :rolleyes: which broke after a little use.

Anyway good luck trying to find something....there was a listing for some GB's at gunbroker.com , take a look at the bottom of the page, I will see if I can find it. Good luck.

Sounds like a good idea, Pen. I don't think you could split much kindling with one of those. ;)

this is the closest thing to what you are looking for that I have found, and it is still NOT a trade. ebay under "Norlund". Currently at 19.95, with about ? 9 hours to go.

I've got a couple of old Boy Scout axes around -- integral steel head and handle, with a couple of pieces of wood where you grab it. Neither of these is much good, and they've basically been lying around for years since we stopped camping. If you want one, let me know and I'll roust it out and send it to you. No trade needed, but I'm suggestible.
