Hello,
I looking for a Jambiya like Szabo's Omani. It should have a good sheath hopefully kydex.
The blade is used in a reverse grip with the sharped curve of the blade facing in towards your forearm. The blade is single edge and used in the Pikal method.
The knife should have a curved blade about 5 +/- inches and a total length
around 10 to 11 inches.
Szabo's knife looks fine but at $400 is too stiff a price for me.
Any recommendations of a knife builder or provider would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Timber Man
PS. I contacted Mark Goldsworthy who made a Pikal for me last year. At this time he is not going to be making any more knives for the foreseeable furture. Mark does nice work and provides great service.
