As the title says.
Looking for a knife that is about 3 inches, and one handed opening. Under $120. Preference says assisted, but it is not necessary as long as it is easy to open one handed.
Was thinking about the Benchmade Mini Barrage, Zero Tolerance 350, and the PM2. Other suggestions are welcome.

This will be used as an EDC knife, opening boxes, cooking every once in a while, probably a ton of opening and closing, stuff like that.

Thank you for any suggestions.

The ZT 0350 is the way to go! If you want something different we have some modified 0700's that might fit your budget!

The 700 and sage are ones I'll look into. Decided against the grip on favor of the barrage, if we decide on benchmade. Thanks for the suggestions

You said it yourself. Para 2 or the 0350. I have both and love them, I will go into detail about them if you'd like.

If you could. I own the pm2 but not the 350. The friend the knife is for isn't exactly the strongest girl around. I want to make sure she'll be able to open and close the knife with relative ease. In pocket probably isn't the best indicator as the knife will probably spend a ton of time looking at the inside of a purse.

I'd consider the sage 1. The para 2 can be really hard to find. The zt 350 is a nice knife with assisted opening, but can be a chunk of a knife. Since it's for a girl, the sage is just plain pretty as well.

May be a bit small, but since you said it will be inside her purse a lot, the spyderco cricket would be a nice choice too. Small enough to fit in a pocketbook, but with a framelock.

Excuse me while I put on my flameproof undies...I am one of the rare few that just didn't care for the PM 2. I bought numerous variations, and it just didn't work FOR ME. The ZT 350 is a good option, but the best way forward would be to take your friend to a place where she can handle a good cross section of what's available at that price point, and let her pick the knife. Just my .02

Most if the knives mentioned are over 3 inches.

For a girl, I'd go with the Caly3, carbon fiber, ZDP. It's a nice knife, without the tactical aesthetic of the PM2 or ZT.

(I realize I'm making sexist assumptions about what a girl wants.)
