I haven't posted in a long time. I've become interested in guns way more then knives. And I'm pritty sure that I've lost my AFCK, because it's no where to be seen. My brother came up to me a couple of days ago and said he was looking for a knife. Here are his requirments: Tanto blade, wooden handle, 7-8 inch blade. What do you think fits these requirements? Blade material doesn't really matter.

Thanks,

That is a tough one

The reason: a Tanto blade is considered a nontraditional blade shape. Wood is a more traditional handle material. The two don't normally get mixed. Add to that - Most of the hi-tech tanto producing manufacturer don't even use wood on their handles any more. You might have to get a custom, but that will be expensive. You might want to look at the Boker/Brend folder. Not a tanto, but a nice shape anyway, and wood handles. Some folk's don't like it, and you'll love it or hate it right away. I hope someone else will be able to help, because I'm stumped!!! (at least as far a production knife goes)

Boker/Nealy fixed blade can be had with "tanto" blade and cocobolo wood handles, however, the blade is shorter that what your brother requires. From everthing I've read about it, it sounds like a nice knife. You ought to check it out.
